【Touch ID危機】「金手指」指紋 研究：破解率可達65%

GS(14)@2017-04-22 10:44:29有傳聞指，即將推出的iPhone8（暫名）會因移除Home鍵，而將Touch ID移走，雖然未知消息是否屬實，但如果Apple看過最近刊登於學術期刊《IEEE Transactions on Information Forensics and Security》，一則有關指紋的研究，相信當初帶頭發展指紋系統的Apple亦會有所擔心。紐約大學（New York University）和密西根州立大學（Michigan State University）今月發表研究指，學者透過分析大量指紋，製作出一種名為「MasterPrint」的程式，可破解生物識別系統。其實「MasterPrint」的概念就好像黑客，試圖使用一個常用密碼，去破解系統一樣，例如如果用「1234」登入，有4%的機會可以成功登入。研究人員收集了8,200套指紋進行分析，透過軟件發現有800套指紋可以作為「MasterPrint」的藍本，如果假設系統容許有最多五次的嘗試登入，「MasterPrint」可破解26%至65%的用戶，而破解率受用戶儲存的指紋數目所影響，故「MasterPrint」亦存在漏洞。研究人員指，如果手機用戶儲存的指紋越多，「MasterPrint」的破解率就越低。但隨著指紋識別器越來越小，必須提升識別器的分辨度，方可記錄更多的指紋特徵，讓「MasterPrint」的破解率降低。資料來源︰
