My rule is: unless you obtain an MBA from a reputable universities, otherwise just forget it.
MBA is like a commodity rather than an actual qualification. I expect more and more people might get "EMBA" and "DBA" instead and MBA might become history at some point in time.

Nowadays many of the MSc don't require students to submit essay.....
But it's almost a compulsory for MA degrees.

I definitely won't study MBA. DBA is much more attractive since you can call your Dr

(1) 讀唔成書果D"疑似"名人之後 (真名人可捐錢給名牌大學帶協仔女入學);

(3) 冇料但要扮代表之上市公司主席/董事 (都係要買來行走江湖);
(4) xx會 xx院 xx局D 總理, 主席

Agreed with your point on the basis that the ranking of universities offering MBA and DBA are similar.
If you're talking about MBA of Stanford vs DBA of HKPU, then it's a different story....
In I-Bank world, DBA is uncommon. From my experience, the people with PhD in I-bank are pretty extreme: either a genius or a dumb. No mid-way. I saw a genius PhD who just spend a couple of minutes to decompose a very complex derivatives structure created by another I-bank. However I also saw a dummy PhD who create a valuation model that everyone could cite the flaws of it, but he insisted his model is correct. Finally his boss step in and kick his ass.

個program冇硬性規定要寫dissertation先畢到業

唔寫dissertation,就要讀3個course代替...
